Dr. Laura Hills Sworn in as 81st Rotary Club President
Dr. Laura Hills became the 81st president of the Rotary Club of Fairfax, Virginia on July 1. She is the club’s second woman president.

Blue Pencil Institute’s president is now a Rotary club president, too. Dr. Laura Hills was sworn in today as the president of the Rotary Club of Fairfax, Virginia, making her the second woman in the office in the club’s 81 years. Her presidential term will run from July 1, 2012 until June 30, 2013.
Dr. Hills became a Rotarian in 2007 to live her core value of service and to make service a regular part of her life. Since joining the club, she has served as public relations director, vice president, and president elect. She has also served on various committees, participated in numerous service projects, and won the club’s prestigious Service above Self award in 2010. Says Dr. Hills of becoming the club’s president, “This is a huge honor for me. I am thrilled to lead such wonderful Rotary club.”
